Continue to CAMLICA HILL, the highest point of Istanbul with an extraordinary view of the Bosphorus and European side of the city. BAGDAT STREET, is the heart of the Asian side of Istanbul. Full of stores, cafes, pubs, restaurants, book stores etc.. Return to the Congress Centre.

 

 

½ Bosphorus Boat Tour
Bosphorus; is a great source of pride to Istanbul’s residents and one of the city’s most important source of transportation. It also provides a scenic means of viewing both the European and Asian sides of this fascinating city. Both sides includes, 19th and 20th century wooden houses and villas, palaces, castles, small fishing villages and forests of cypress, pine and magnolia trees, the "Kuleli Military Academy", where Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, once studied. Further along see the "Beylerbeyi Palace" summer residence and the guest house of the Ottoman Sultans. Return to the Congress Centre.

½ Traditional Turkish Bath
The Turkish baths being one of the most colourful parts of the Ottoman Empire’s social life. Its big, high domes, heated marble platforms and its being not only a centre for the entertainments in the city, has helped the interest in the Turkish bath survive until present days. Besides being places to be washed, especially for women, the baths were meeting points where they could choose brides for their sons, and for the young girls, it was a place to show themselves to the women who could arrange marriage for them.
Return to the Congress Centre.

3 Days Cappadocia Tour:

Day 1 Fly to Cappadocia
Transfer to Istanbul Airport for TK 260 08:35-10:00 flight to Kayseri Airport. Full day touring in CAPPADOCIA; visit the GOREME Open-Air-Museum with its fairy chimneys and dozens of cave churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible, the ZELVE Valley, the natural Citadel of UCHISAR. Dinner and overnight in CAPPADOCIA. (L,D)

Day 2 Cappadocia
After breakfast, visit the underground city of KAYMAKLI built by the early Christians to evade Roman Armies, the local Wine Factory of Cappadocia and the pottery town AVANOS. Shopping opportunity at local workshops.

Day 3 Fly back to Istanbul

2 Days Troy & Anzac Tour:

Day 1 Istanbul – Gallipoli - Canakkale
Drive to Gallipoli, the Worl War 1 site where half million soldiers died in 1915, Visit the Gallipoli Musuem, see the Anzac Cove , Lone Pine Cemetary and Jonk Bayir area. Then take the car ferry and cross the Dardanelles strait, to the Asian lands of Turkey. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale. (L,D)

Day 2 Troy – Drive back to Istanbul
Depart to legendary TROY. Visit the Troy Archaeology Museum, see the nine layer of the city from different periods, and the replica of the wooden horse. After lunch, drive back to Istanbul. END.(B,L)

2 Days Ephesus & Pergamon Tour:

Day 1 Fly Izmir – Ephesus Tour - Izmir
Transfer to Istanbul Airport for TK 310 07:00-08:00 flight to Izmir. Full day tour to the ancient city of EPHESUS. Visit the HOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY, and then the Basilica of St. John (who accompanied the Virgin Mary to Ephesus), the Celsus Library, the marble paved Arcadian Road, the Brothel, the Roman Baths, the Theater where St. Paul preached, the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), and see the statue of Ephesian Artemis while touring the Archeological Museum of Ephesus. Return for overnight to IZMIR. (B,L)

Day 2 Pergamon Tour – Fly back to Istanbul
Depart to PERGAMON to visit the ACROPOLIS in the city built on four terraces perched upon a hill, overlooking the Bergama Plain. Tour the “Steepest Theater of the Ancient World”. Then visit the ASCLEPION, the famous ancient medical center dedicated to Asclepion, the god of health and medicine, and the Archaeological Museum in Pergamon. Transfer to IZMIR Airport for TK 333 19:20-20:20 flight to Istanbul. END.(B,L)

HATAY TOUR

Day 1 – Istanbul / Antakya (D)
Afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Hatay by Turkish Airlines at 16.00.
Upon arrival at Hatay Airport, transfer to the hotel directly. Dinner & overnight will take place at the hotel in Antakya.

Day 2 – Antakya / Istanbul (B, L)
Following breakfast, start the full day tour of the region.
Antakya, the ancient biblical Antioch on the Asi River (Orontes), was the prosperous capital of the Seleucid kings and was notorious for its luxurious life and pleasures in Roman times. The city was a great center of artistic, scientific and commercial activities. It was also a center of Christianity and St. Barnabas, St. Paul and St. Peter stayed here at various times. Following the departure from the hotel, drive to Samandag, a town with a beach 25 km. from Antakya and then onto ancient Seleucia Pieria (now called Cevlik), which was founded around 300 B.C., and by the time Paul and Barnabas made their first missionary Journey from here. It was a busy port. Visit the tunnel of Emperors Vespasianus and Titus, the most interesting monument to see which was built to divert the rainwater. Even by today’s standards, it is a tremendous engineering achievement.

Return to Antakya and visit the archaeological museum, which houses one of the richest collections of Roman mosaics in the world all of that were discovered in the environs of Antakya.

Then drive to Harbiye, the ancient Daphne, situated 10 km. far from Antakya, is the place where according to mythology, Apollo tried to make Daphne his lover, and to escape his grasp, mother earth changed her into a bay tree. The area is covered with orchards, gardens, bay trees, and waterfalls, and this best place for a good meal. Lunch in Harbiye (ancient Daphne) in a good local restaurant.

Following lunch, visit St. Peter’s Grotto situated a little outside the town, the cave church from which St. Peter preached for the first time and founded the Christian community. The Vatican declared this in 1983.

At the end of the program, transfer to the airport for taking flight back to Istanbul at 18.35. Upon arrival to Istanbul, transfer to your hotels.
