On behalf of the Turkish Society of Cytopathology, we are delighted to invite you to the 36th European Congress of Cytology, to be held in İstanbul, Turkey, on September 22-25, 2011.

Congress venue will be the Harbiye Museum and Culture Center which is one of the leading museums of its kind in the world and has a history since 15th century. The Center was renovated and reopened at its present building, in the very heart of the city in 1993 with a contemporary exhibition concept.

İstanbul has been home to many civilizations since 3rd millennium BC. With its cultural heritage and as the European capital of culture in 2010, İstanbul is a living example of a city embracing the future in a beautiful and mystique harmony.

The Organizing Committee is preparing an interesting and informative scientific programme, aiming to gather the cytopathology experts and “cell lovers” as well as distinguished scientists from other related disciplines from all over the world. Courses, workshops, slide seminars, symposia and keynote lectures will intend to keep you informed regarding recent developments in the field while platform and poster sessions will allow you to share your valuable works. Beside the reviews of state-of-the-art practices, you and your family will have ample time to explore and relish the unique ambiance of İstanbul: The City on Seven Hills.
